Welcome to the Fresh Prodce Consortium (FPC) web site. FPC is the trade association for the fresh produce sector in the UK. Membership covers every area of the industry spectrum including wholesalers, importers, packers, food service, retailers and floral.

The Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC) is the UK's fresh produce trade association and is based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. The FPC has represented the fresh produce sector for many years and is recognised across the UK and EU as the voice of the industry.

Exclusive membership covers the complete spectrum of industry businesses including growers, importers, wholesalers, retailers (both multiple and independent), distributors, processors, packers, food service and other allied organisations such as freight handling, embassies, laboratories, trade media......
The FPC has two primary goals
1. to increase consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables in the UK
2. to promote responsible and sustainable trading and protect its membership from negative effects of legislation, media etc
Membership benefits are considerable - over the years, the FPC has saved the industry £millions through its intervention and negotiation with UK government departments and EU departments in Brussels where it contributes directly to advisory groups.
The FPC has worked extensively with the Carbon Trust to promote energy efficiency within the industry and is actively developing a carbon footprint strategy.
