Sussex Police have confirmed that a 21-year-old man was killed after touching a live wire Nature's Way Foods' factory in Chichester.
A police statement said that Bradley Watts from Manningtree, Essex, who was working on the site as a contractor, died when he touched a live wire in the early afternoon on June 2.
Emergency services were called to the secene, but paramedics were unable to revive Watts, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Watts' mother said: "I am devastated by the untimely death of my son, Bradley. He was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends."
Sussex Police said that they continued to assist the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) with their investigation into the incident, which occurred when Watts was working in the factory roof space.
Nature's Way Foods, which produces fresh salad and fruit products, was unavailable for comment.
